British journalist Piers Morgan told fans on Wednesday night that he wanted to “puke” after watching National Rifle Association spokeswoman Dana Loesch defend the Second Amendment on CNN.
The host of “Good Morning Britain” was not impressed with the NRA’s case for gun rights during this week’s town hall debate in Sunrise, Florida. The ex-CNN host, who famously sparred with conservative author Ben Shapiro over gun control in 2013, echoed previous commentary by calling Mrs. Loesch “sickening.”
“Dana Loesch perfectly exemplifying the cold, calculating, ruthless & sickening mindset of the NRA — whose sole purpose is to sell more guns & milk every mass shooting to that end,” he tweeted. “God they make me puke.”

The journalist’s comments came in the wake of the Feb. 14 massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.
Nikolas Cruz, 19, was arrested after the shooting and charged with 17 counts of premeditated murder. He is being held without bond.
Mrs. Loesch faced a hostile crowd during the “Stand Up: The Students of Stoneman Douglas Demand Action,” event. At one point, she was heckled for citing a rape victim who wished she had a gun to protect herself.
“[CNN] spoke with a young woman named Kim Corban, who was a college student who was brutally raped in her dorm, and she was under the age of 21,” Loesch said during the debate. “And one of the things that she speaks out about loudly now is how she wished she would have had the ability to be able to have some sort — a shotgun, whatever it was, to be able to defend herself.”
Also present for questioning at CNN’s debate were Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel and Florida lawmakers Rep. Ted Deutch and Sens. Bill Nelson and Marco Rubio.
