“Rocky Balboa” says he’s “still punching” after a social media death hoax forced him to correct the record.
Sylvester Stallone told millions of fans on Twitter and Instagram on Monday that rumors of his death are nothing more than “stupidity” that should be ignored. The 71-year-old movie star interceded after a weekend of prostate cancer rumors shook his fan base.
Social media accounts used #ripSylvesterStallone to spread the hoax.
Please ignore this stupidity… Alive and well and happy and healthy… Still punching! https://t.co/sgRhOguHhs

“Please ignore the stupidity,” Mr. Stallone, who is gearing up for “Creed II” with actor Michael B. Jordan, tweeted. “Alive and well and happy and healthy … Still punching!”
His brother, Frank Stallone, also weighed in.
Rumors that my brother is dead are false. What kind of sick demented cruel mind thinks of things like this to post? People like this are mentally deranged and don’t deserve a place in society.@FoxNews @seanhannity @greggutfeld
