HONOLULU (AP) - Police and FBI are responding to a suburban Honolulu middle school after a shooting threat was made on social media.

The Honolulu Star-Advertiser reports the threat was made on Instagram Thursday. The person who posted it said they planned to “shoot up” the middle school in the community of Kapolei at 8:30 a.m. Friday. Police and the state Department of Education didn’t immediately respond to messages Friday left by The Associated Press.

Honolulu police are treating it as a terroristic threatening case.

The Hawaii threat comes two days after a shooter killed 17 students at a school in Parkland, Florida.
