SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine (AP) - A 15-year-old Maine high school student accused of posting a message about “shooting up” his school on Snapchat has been arrested.
Police charged the South Portland High School student Thursday morning with terrorizing and carrying a concealed weapon. Police say the student had a knife but no firearms when he was taken into custody as he walked to school.
Police say other students saw the student’s threat on Snapchat and contacted authorities. Investigators say the student reneged on the threat on social media after posting about it. Police have not identified the student.
