PITTSBURGH (AP) - A judge has sentenced a former Pennsylvania union boss and father to former NFL player Ross Ventrone to 41 months in prison for embezzling at least $1.5 million from the union.

Prosecutors say 60-year-old Ray Ventrone bought seven Cadillacs, purses from Louis Vuitton and spent $970,000 on purchases from Best Buy while working as a business manager of Boilermakers Local 154.

Ventrone reportedly bought so much stuff that the FBI needed seven moving trucks to take it to a local auction house.

The man was sentenced Monday after pleading guilty to embezzlement and tax evasion.

Ventrone’s attorneys argued the man’s depression, severe anxiety and obsessive compulsive disorder contributed to his spending.
