TROUT CREEK, Mich. (AP) - Authorities have identified two people who died in a fire at a home in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula as a man and his young son.

Ontonagon County sheriff’s deputies responded Sunday to the fire in the community of Trout Creek. The sheriff’s office says that the bodies of 48-year-old David Saubert and 6-year-old David Saubert Jr. were found inside. The home was destroyed.

The cause of the fire was under investigation Tuesday. Firefighters from Trout Creek and Duncan Township were among those who also responded to the fire.
