Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald played the “am” to Kevin Streelman’s “pro” as the pair cruised to a seven-stroke victory at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am over the weekend.

Fitzgerald and Streelman combined for a four-round score of 41 under par.

And the future Pro Football Hall of Famer definitely made his share of shots for the pairing, including this near-hole-in-one:

The amateurs who play the Pro-Am don’t have to be celebrities — for instance, Rory McIlroy played with his father this year — but it’s drawn the rich and famous since Bing Crosby founded the event in 1937.

Fitzgerald is the first pro athlete to win since Dan Marino in 1988, and according to Cardinals senior vice president Mark Dalton, the first African-American to ever win.

Often considered one of the classiest personalities in sports, Fitzgerald made sure to give his professional playing partner much of the credit on Twitter — all while throwing in a playful jab at Streelman’s alma mater:

Houston Astros pitcher Justin Verlander, who often competes in the pro-am, finished third at -33 with playing partner Russell Knox.
