NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) - Miye Oni scored 19 points with six rebounds and six assists and Yale defeated Cornell 74-65 on Saturday night.
The Bulldogs (11-13, 4-4 Ivy League) had six other players score between six and 11 points.
The Big Red (9-12, 3-5) pulled to 59-55 with four minutes left before Oni and Alex Copeland made back-to-back 3-pointers. After Cornell got a pair of free throws from Matt Morgan, the Big Red had two chances to get close after two Yale turnovers but they also had a turnover and missed a 3. The Bulldogs then made 9 of 10 free throws in the final 90 seconds.
Stone Gettings had 20 points for Cornell and Morgan had 13.
Both teams had 25 field goals but Yale was 11 of 28 behind the arc and Cornell was 4 of 16.
