NEWPORT, R.I. (AP) - A Rhode Island judge has ordered twin sisters to pay restitution and complete community service for spray painting graffiti on a seawall along Newport’s famed Cliff Walk.

The Newport Daily News reports that Jenna and Jocelyn Senecal, of East Providence, were sentenced Wednesday after pleading no contest to vandalism charges. The 22-year-old twins were each ordered to pay $1,050 and complete 25 hours of community service.

The pair turned themselves in Dec. 4 after photos circulated online showing them with spray paint cans at the Cliff Walk in November.

The 3 ½-mile Cliff Walk is a designated national recreation trail that draws hundreds of thousands of visitors annually.

Jocelyn Senecal told WJAR-TV that her actions were wrong, but didn’t justify online harassment she and her sister have faced.
