MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - The Minnesota Lynx have re-signed forward Rebekkah Brunson.

The 14-year pro out of Georgetown and four-time All-Start is coming off one of her best seasons, averaging 10.2 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game. She shot 45 percent from the field and 71 percent from the free throw line.

Brunson surpassed Tina Thompson for third place on the league’s all-time rebounding list on the way to ending the season with 3,187 total career boards. She enters the 2018 season needing 130 rebounds to surpass Tamika Catchings for the most rebounds in WNBA history.

Brunson holds club records for rebounds and double-doubles.

Brunson was acquired by the Lynx in December 2009 during the dispersal draft of former Sacramento players.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
