BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - A health advisory startup in Alabama is moving its headquarters to accommodate a staff expansion.

AL.com reported Tuesday that Pack Health will move its headquarters this summer from Avondale to a downtown Birmingham building undergoing a $2.9 million renovation. The company plans to hire up to 175 employees over the next four years, augmenting its current staff of 30.

Pack Health President Mazi Rasulnia says he hopes the new space will be “a hub for innovation in health and health care in Birmingham.” He also pointed to the new location’s proximity to the University of Alabama at Birmingham, which offers its employees Pack Health’s digital health coaching for chronic conditions.

Alabama Department of Commerce Secretary Greg Canfield praised the startup’s role in the state’s innovation community.
