CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - An event to educate New Hampshire lawmakers on Statehouse anti-harassment policies has drawn sparse attendance, with fewer than 40 of 400 House representatives showing up.

The Concord Monitor reports the Wednesday morning session was organized by House Chief of Staff Terry Pfaff. It was meant to refresh lawmakers on the anti-harassment handbook, which covers conduct by employees, legislators and others who work in the Statehouse.

The training is not mandatory. Pfaff said afterward that given the heavy legislative schedule, he wasn’t surprised by the low turnout. He said many previously received harassment training in past orientations.

Pfaff said presentation materials and a video of the event would be sent to all representatives.
