RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - The Latest on a Virginia State Air Pollution Control Board vote on a natural gas compressor station (all times local):

A winter storm is delaying a key vote on a permit for a major natural gas pipeline.

The State Air Pollution Control Board was set to vote Monday on whether to approve a compressor station in a historical African-American community west of Richmond that’s needed to pump gas through the planned Atlantic Coast Pipeline.

The state has pushed the meeting back to Dec. 19 because of a winter storm that’s dumped massive amounts of snow and made driving dangerous.

Gov. Ralph Northam recently removed two members of the board, angering minority groups and environmentalists opposed to the compressor station. They said Northam was trying to improperly influence the board to help Dominion Energy build its new pipeline.

Northam has said their removal was unrelated to the compressor station vote.

A Virginia air pollution panel is set to take a vote Monday on a key permit for a major natural gas pipeline.

The board will decide whether to allow a compressor station in a historically African-American community west of Richmond that’s needed to pump gas through the planned Atlantic Coast Pipeline.

Gov. Ralph Northam recently removed two members of the board. His move angered minority groups and environmentalists, who said Northam was trying to improperly influence the board to help Dominion Energy build its new pipeline.

Northam’s office said the board members’ terms had expired this summer and their removal was unrelated to the compressor station vote.
