In a three-team trade, the Washington Wizards have acquired Sam Dekker from the Cleveland Cavaliers and dealt Jason Smith to the Milwaukee Bucks, according to ESPN.

The Wizards will be Dekker’s fourth team in four seasons in the NBA.
In just nine games for the Cavaliers this year, Dekker has averaged 6.3 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game. He has only averaged 5.3 points per game for his career, which has already spanned the Rockets, Clippers and Cavs. Houston drafted the power forward out of Wisconsin in the first round in 2015.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Wizards will ship Smith and a future second-round pick to Milwaukee. They will send their 2022 second-rounder to Cleveland in return for Cleveland’s 2021 second-rounder.

The Wizards save about $4.5 million by trading Smith and adding Dekker, according to ESPN.
The main piece of the three-team trade is Cleveland acquiring Matthew Dellavedova from Milwaukee and Milwaukee getting George Hill from the Cavs.
Despite the Wizards’ woes at center this year, Smith, who is 32, was only seeing 10.8 minutes per game and was often a healthy scratch.
The Wizards and Cavaliers square off in Cleveland on Saturday.
