President Trump will visit with the Bush family Tuesday in Washington amid preparations for the funeral of the late President George H.W. Bush.
The president will call on the family at Blair House, a large government guest house for VIPs across the street from the White House. The Bushes are staying at the residence at the invitation of the White House.
“Looking forward to being with the wonderful Bush family at Blair House today,” Mr. Trump tweeted, adding that former first lady Laura Bush “will be coming over to the White House this morning to be given a tour of the Christmas decorations by Melania.”
“The elegance & precision of the last two days have been remarkable!” the president tweeted.
The Trumps paid their respects to the late president Monday night at the Capitol rotunda, where he is lying in state in a flag-draped casket. The president dispatched the jet normally used as Air Force One to Texas to bring the casket and the family to Washington.
The Trumps will also attend funeral services for Mr. Bush Wednesday at the Washington National Cathedral.
