CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wyoming says some of its members have been charged too much in monthly premium payments because of a bank processing error.

The company says the bank is expected to have any overcharges credited back to members by Wednesday.

Blue Cross Blue Shield said in a news release that the problem occurred when the bank erroneously reprocessed multiple times a single batch file of members’ monthly automatic premium payments.

The company says fewer than 10 percent of its 100,000 customers statewide were affected by the duplicate charges and it is working to ensure refunds of any overdraft charges or fees as a result of this error.
