LIVERPOOL, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say two men have been charged with threatening to shoot up a central New York bar.
The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office says the men were at the Bourbon Street Bar in Liverpool around 12:30 a.m. Sunday when they got into an argument with the tavern’s security staff. Deputies say the men left he bar but threatened to return with guns.
Deputies were still at the bar when two men returned in a vehicle. Police say as deputies approached the vehicle, one man was quickly arrested. The other fled on foot with what appeared to be a gun in his waistband. He was arrested after a brief chase.
Deputies say a 9mm handgun was found nearby.
Officials say both men are 20 and from Syracuse. Both were charged with making a terroristic threat.
