Singer and liberal activist Bruce Springsteen says Democrats should gird themselves for many more years of dealing with President Trump.

The man behind “Born to Run” says 2020 is increasingly looking like a cakewalk re-election for the commander in chief.

“I don’t see anyone out there at the moment … the man who can beat Trump, or the woman who can beat Trump,” the artist told The Sunday Times Magazine over the weekend.

Mr. Springsteen said that Democrats do not have a stable of candidates who can match Mr. Trump’s rhetoric, which has secured for him a loyal and energetic base of support.

“You need someone who can speak the same language as Trump,” he added.

The artist previously called Mr. Trump a “moron” who was allegedly normalizing “white nationalism” during the 2016 election.

“Well, you know, the republic is under siege by a moron, basically,” he told Rolling Stone in September 2016. “The whole thing is tragic. Without overstating it, it’s a tragedy for our democracy. When you start talking about elections being rigged, you’re pushing people beyond democratic governance. And it’s a very, very dangerous thing to do. Once you let those genies out of the bottle, they don’t go back in so easy, if they go back in at all. The ideas he’s moving to the mainstream are all very dangerous ideas — white nationalism and the alt-right movement.”
