ORANGEBURG, S.C. (AP) - Police in South Carolina say they found a man asleep in the drive-thru of a fast food restaurant with a loaded gun in his lap.
An Orangeburg Public Safety report says someone called police around 4:50 a.m. Wednesday to report the car at an Orangeburg McDonald’s.
The Times and Democrat of Orangeburg says the officer wrote in his report that 29-year-old passenger Ricardo Brown had an AK-47 with a round in the chamber and a loaded magazine in his lap. His hand was on the gun’s grip.
The report says a half-empty bottle of vodka was also found.
Brown was charged with possession of a gun by a person convicted of a violent felony and second-offense possession of crack cocaine. It wasn’t known if he had a lawyer.
