Sen. Rand Paul, Kentucky Republican, issued Sunday his annual Festivus “airing of grievances,” poking bipartisan fun at his fellow Washington figures in the spirit of the fictional “Seinfeld” holiday.

“You’ll be surprised to learn I have some grievances with people in Washington, fellow members and others. It’s time to talk about them now, because it’s the holiday season,” Mr. Paul tweeted.

The posts included a photo of him posing next to a teepee looking for Sen. Elizabeth Warren; a description of presidential son-in-law Jared Kushner as “the kid from the Omen movie all grown up,” and a photo-shopped shot of Sen. Ted Cruz with a beard.

“He looks less Canadian now,” quipped Mr. Paul.

Not spared was the White House. He said budget director Mike Mulvaney was “a good friend of mine, in fact a lot of people probably don’t remember he was the national co-chair for my Presidential campaign. Uh oh, probably just got him fired.”

On President Trump, Mr. Paul said, “It is true that I’m on the phone with him a good amount. But I have to tell you, I haven’t gotten a word in on him in over a year.”

Not everyone got the joke. Comments on Twitter included, “Okay, who hacked whom?” and “Holy crap. Just realized this is not a parody account.”

In a 1997 episode of “Seinfeld,” the Costanza family was shown celebrating “Festivus,” described as a winter holiday featuring the “airing of grievances” and “feats of strength.”

Mr. Paul concluded with a tip of the hat to Mr. Trump, saying, “thanks to Donald Trump we are ALL saying Merry Christmas this year—so repeat after me: MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY HOLIDAYS to everyone even the haters and losers.”
