SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) - The South Bend Tribune says it won’t publish a newspaper on Christmas or New Year’s Day.

The Tribune says it wants to give employees a break, especially carriers who deliver the paper. It also says the news cycle typically “comes to a grinding halt” around the two holidays.

The Tribune says it began publishing every day about 25 years ago. Any breaking news on Christmas or New Year’s still can be found online at www.southbendtribune.com .
