Robert Griffin III came back — at least temporarily.
With Baltimore Ravens starter Lamar Jackson being evaluated for a concussion, Griffin entered Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons. Griffin had not appeared in a regular-season game since 2016.
Jackson took a shot to the head in the third quarter.
The Ravens were already without quarterback Joe Flacco, who has missed three straight games with a hip injury. Flacco had started the first nine games of the season for Baltimore, but coach John Harbaugh has not said whether the quarterback will start again when healthy.
Baltimore drafted Jackson with the 32nd overall pick in May.
UPDATE: Jackson later returned to the game after the Ravens said he cleared concussion protocol and was eligible to return. Griffin went 2-for-4 for 21 yards.
QB Lamar Jackson has passed concussion protocol and is cleared to re-enter the game.
