HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - A 28-year-old convicted felon has been charged with killing a man in Hartford in 2008.
The Hartford Courant reports that James Brown of East Hartford was charged Friday in the June 2008 killing of Kenny Sullivan and was held over the weekend on $1 million bail.
Documents show that Brown was shot multiple times in a gang feud just days after Sullivan’s slaying. The shooting left Brown paralyzed from the waist down and blind in one eye.
Brown’s criminal record includes a 2008 conviction for his role in the stabbing of an 18-year-old and drug offenses.
Brown was ordered to remain held on a $1 million bond during a brief appearance in the Superior Court in Hartford Monday. It was not immediately clear if Brown has an attorney.
