CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (AP) - Police on Long Island say a Lyft driver has been arrested on charges he sexually abused a passenger.

Suffolk County police say Hussein Saleh, of Farmingville, picked up two women passengers in Patchogue early Sunday. During the drive, police say Saleh sexually abused the woman sitting in the front seat.

Police say one of the women called 911 from the vehicle and police responded and arrested the 36-year-old driver.

He’s to be held overnight and arraigned in Central Islip on Monday. Information on Saleh’s lawyer wasn’t immediately available.
