PORTLAND, Maine (AP) - Police say a man has died after falling off a roof he was working on in Maine.
The fall happened around 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Portland.
First responders transported the 30-year-old roofing company employee to Maine Medical Center, where he later died.
Authorities have not named the worker or the roofing company involved.
One of the owners of the building, Carol Pike, tells The Portland Press Herald she hired the company to do the job and they were “super-professional.”
Police are working with the Occupational Health and Safety Administration to investigate the man’s fall.
