FORT EDWARD, N.Y. (AP) - Sen. Chuck Schumer has wrapped up his 20th annual tour of all 62 counties in New York state.
The Senate’s Democratic leader toured a Washington County industrial park near the Vermont border on Friday as he completed his 2018 statewide tour.
Schumer has made a point of annually visiting each New York county since he became a senator two decades ago.
Schumer said afterward that the annual trips give him the “flavor and feel” for the whole state and that he plans do it again in 2019.
Schumer’s office says the New York City resident has made 135 trips to upstate New York and Long Island.
