House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi took a swipe at President Trump’s “manhood” Tuesday following a tense Oval Office meeting discussing the president’s border wall with Mexico.

“It’s like a manhood thing for him. As if manhood could ever be associated with him. This wall thing,” Mrs. Pelosi privately told House Democrats after the televised meeting with Mr. Trump, Vice President Mike Pence and Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer, the Associated Press reported.

“I was trying to be the mom,” she added, according to Politico. “It goes to show you: You get into a tinkle contest with a skunk, you get tinkle all over you.”

Mrs. Pelosi made similar remarks in October at Harvard University’s Institute of Politics, calling Mr. Trump’s proposed border wall “a manhood thing.”

Her comments Tuesday followed a contentious back-and-forth in the Oval Office, in which Mr. Trump declared he would be “proud” to shut down the government if Congress refused to fund his border wall.
