LOS ANGELES (AP) - The Latest on a fire in a row of Los Angeles businesses (all times local):
7:42 a.m.
Los Angeles firefighters have extinguished a stubborn commercial fire that burned for nearly three hours in the San Fernando Valley.
Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey says the majority of the businesses in the Sylmar strip mall were saved.
The fire was reported shortly before 4 a.m. Monday and required more than 100 firefighters.
Despite a partial roof collapse there were no injuries.
The cause of the fire and the extent of losses have yet to be determined.

More than 100 firefighters have been working to extinguish the blaze in a Sylmar strip mall since before 4 a.m. Monday.
