NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Marlain Veal made a 3-pointer with three seconds left to cap Southeastern Louisiana’s late rally for a 62-61 victory over Tulane on Saturday night.

The Lions (4-4) trailed the entire second half, and were down 11 points with under five minutes to play before Veal’s game winner.

Veal scored 18 of his 22 points in the second half and finished 8-of-16 shooting to lead Southeastern Louisiana. Moses Greenwood, a senior forward who entered with three consecutive double-doubles, added 11 points and five boards. The Lions have won three of their last four games since back-to-back losses to Nebraska and Texas Tech.

Jordan Cornish scored 18 points and Caleb Daniels had 14 for Tulane (2-5). The duo made five of the Green Wave’s seven 3-pointers.

Tulane led 57-46 with 4:33 to play. Veal scored 12 points during the Lions’ 16-4 closing run.
