Former Deputy Assistant to the President Sebastian Gorka is “banned” from certain Fox News shows, The Daily Beast reported Monday.

The report points to TVEyes, a service that allows users to search transcripts online for particular terms. That service showed Mr. Gorka often appears on headline Fox News “opinion” shows like “Hannity” and “Fox & Friends.” However, according to the reporter’s search of the database, Mr. Gorka was not on shows centered on reporting like “America’s Newsroom” or “Special Report” for months.

The former Trump aide was hired by Fox News in November after leaving the White House.

According to several unnamed sources, the news shows are actively avoiding Mr. Gorka. These Fox employees told The Daily Beast that it was Mr. Gorka’s “unabashed, unconditional cheerleading” for the president that led them to see him as too biased for their shows.

“We will take other counterterrorism experts. We will not take Seb. Ever,” one Fox staffer told The Daily Beast.

Another staffer described it as a “soft ban” on the former aide.

The Daily Beast noted that Fox News did not respond to requests for comment. However, Mr. Gorka emailed their reporters to “Get a life.”
