The murderous rage in Chicago is out of control. With hundreds of people killed each year and no relief in sight. Surprisingly blackonblack killings predominate, with only a few white-on-black police killings and random white killings of blacks. Mr. Obama’s designated Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel was assigned to reduce the violence, but he has been ineffective. The killings continue unabated and Mr. Emanuel is expected to be ousted soon.

President Obama was our first black president and he went into office with great expectations. He was going to be successful with every initiative and every program he tried. Unfortunately, each venture failed because of his socialistic leanings and rejection of the principles of capitalism. Obamacare proved to be too expensive. His Iran agreement was the worst in U.S. history. Under him, the number of food-stamp recipients sky rocketed by 70 percent, 1 million Americans fell below the poverty line and the national debt doubled to $20 trillion.

Despite his dismal presidential record, Mr. Obama still seems to be the best choice to lead the crusade to eliminate the bloodshed and disarray in Chicago. His strong organizational skills could rally the citizens to support a complete turnaround and halt the senseless killings. Once again Chicago could be a safe, iconic city and Mr. Obama would be known as a hero.
