BARKSDALE AIR FORCE BASE, La. (AP) - An airman assigned to a northwest Louisiana military base is scheduled for a general court-martial trial Jan. 7.
Officials at Barksdale Air Force Base say Airman 1st Class Isaiah Edwards is in custody, charged with the murder of Airman 1st Class Bradley Hale. Both Hale and Edwards were assigned to the 2nd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron as electronic warfare journeymen.
Edwards is accused of stabbing Hale to death on March 26.
Hale and Edwards were roommates at Anderson Air Force Base in Guam where Hale was found in their quarters with three cuts to his neck.
The 20-year-old Hale was from Montgomery County, Texas, had joined the Air Force in 2016.
