LOS ANGELES (AP) - Former Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa has joined the board of directors of the cannabis company MedMen Enterprises Inc.
The Los Angeles-based company announced the move Wednesday, saying Villaraigosa will be instrumental in guiding MedMen’s expansion in California and solidifying its presence across the country.
Villaraigosa served two terms as mayor of Los Angeles after serving on the City Council and as speaker of the state Assembly. He came in third in last June’s gubernatorial primary.
