ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - A man tried to steal money from an Anchorage pizza restaurant and fired a shot at employees who pursued him.

Anchorage police say the man is at large.

Investigators say the man shortly after 11:30 a.m. Sunday entered Milano’s Pizza on west 36th Avenue and tried to take money from the cash register.

An employee ran to the front of the restaurant and the suspect ran outside.

Several employees chased the man.

Police say the man fired a shot in the direction of his pursuers, who stopped. No one was hurt.

Police are asking witnesses to contact them.
