TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) - An Arizona State University physics professor known for his work with the Doomsday Clock won’t be returning to his job following an investigation into sexual misconduct allegations.
Lawrence Krauss posted on his Twitter account Thursday that the school isn’t renewing his five-year contract, which expired last month.
Krauss was director of the ASU Origins Project, which he called a “great privilege.”
Four ex-university employees told Buzzfeed in March that Krauss often made sexist remarks including offering to buy a female colleague birth control.
Krauss strongly denied the allegations. He was put on paid leave pending a review.
ASU officials say Krauss remains on administrative leave from the university and declined further comment Thursday.
Krauss also resigned from a board at the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists, which manages the Doomsday Clock.
