HENDERSON, Nev. (AP) - A small airplane has gone off the runway at the executive airport in Henderson.

Clark County Department of Aviation spokesman Chris Jones says the aircraft experienced a problem with the brakes upon landing around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The pilot of the Cirrus SR22 was the only person aboard and was not injured. The plane came to a stop in the protective area with dirt and gravel off to the side of the runway.

Jones says the airplane was returning from Santa Monica, California, and has some minor damage.

He says one of the airport’s two runways will remain closed for three to four hours.
