White House deputy press secretary Hogan Gidley denied on Tuesday ever signing a non-disclosure agreement for his position at the White House.
“I can’t speak to anybody else,” he said on Hill TV’s “Rising,” “What I can tell you is I’ve never seen one in this White House. I’ve never been asked to sign one in this White House.”
The comments come after President Trump announced on Twitter Monday that former White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman signed a non-disclosure agreement.
Ms. Manigault Newman lobbed several accusations at the president over the past few days during TV interviews, in her new book “Unhinged,” and with leaked secret audio recordings from the White House.

Following Mr. Trump’s tweet the Washington Post reported that non-disclosure agreements were a common practice for staffers.
During an interview with PBS Newshour on Monday, Ms. Manigault Newman denied signing an NDA for her position at the White House. She did note that she signed one in 2002 for “The Apprentice” and while working with the Trump campaign.
“I never signed that draconian NDA that they presented to me when I walked into the White House,” she said.
When asked about NDAs at a press briefing Tuesday, press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders refused to comment on the situation.
“I’m not going to get into the back and forth of who has signed an NDA here at the White House,” she said.
