A GoFundMe fundraising page set up for former FBI agent Peter Strzok raised more than $300,000 in less than a day and a half.
As of 2 p.m. Tuesday, nearly 8,000 people donated to the fundraising campaign to bring the current total up to $307,727.
The page was created by “Friends of Special Agent Peter Strzok” Monday afternoon after the news came out that he was let go from the FBI because of his anti-trump text messages.
The page already surpassed its original goal of $150,000, and had readjusted its goal Tuesday afternoon to $350,000.
The former FBI agent himself shared the link, writing on Twitter that he was, “deeply saddened by this decision.”
Deeply saddened by this decision. It has been an honor to serve my country and work with the fine men and women of the FBI. https://t.co/iET9SbeTrv pic.twitter.com/7VTswzjoxE
