Cleveland Browns fans will have extra reason to say “Dilly dilly!” when they finally get to witness their team win a game again.
Ten bars in the Cleveland area are installing “Victory” fridges full of Bud Light that will be locked until the Browns win their next regular season game, ESPN reported Tuesday.
The Browns went 0-16 in 2017 and haven’t won a meaningful game since Christmas Eve 2016, when their lone win of that season came against the Chargers.
To ensure no premature celebration, an electromagnetic lock on the 8-foot-tall fridges will be removed remotely via Wi-Fi once the Browns win a game — whenever that happens.
The brewing conglomerate that makes Bud Light, Anheuser-Busch, came up with the idea to honor loyal Cleveland fans supporting what’s been a historically terrible team.
It’s not out of the question that the Browns could go 0-16 once again, but with additions like wide receiver Jarvis Landry and first overall draft pick Baker Mayfield at quarterback, the team has improved.
