NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Winners of the 2017 college competition conducted by the Louisiana-Mississippi Associated Press Broadcasters and Media Editors were announced Saturday at the World War II Museum.

Newspapers and broadcast stations from more than 20 universities and colleges in both states submitted more than 270 entries in the contest that honors the best in college journalism in 2017. The AP is a not-for-profit news cooperative representing 1,400 newspapers and 5,000 broadcast stations in the United States.
