The NHL announced the full schedule of the Washington Capitals’ second-round series against the Pittsburgh Penguins Wednesday night.
Originally, the league only announced Game 1’s date and time while the Boston Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs played a Game 7 to decide the final team advancing to the conference semifinal round.
The Capitals’ series begins Thursday at Capital One Arena at 7 p.m. All times below are Eastern.
- Game 1: Penguins at Capitals, Thursday, April 26, 7 p.m.
- Game 2: Penguins at Capitals, Sunday, April 29, 3 p.m.
- Game 3: Capitals at Penguins, Tuesday, May 1, 7:30 p.m.
- Game 4: Capitals at Penguins, Thursday, May 3, 7 p.m.
- *Game 5 if necessary: Penguins at Capitals, Saturday, May 5, time TBD
- *Game 6 if necessary: Capitals at Penguins, Monday, May 7, time TBD
- *Game 7 if necessary: Penguins at Capitals, Wednesday, May 9, time TBD
The two rivals also faced off in a second-round series last year, going seven games and concluding with a Pittsburgh victory in Washington on May 10.
