TRUMANN, Ark. (AP) - Authorities say one man was fatally shot in what’s believed to be a domestic dispute outside of a Walmart in northeast Arkansas.

Trumann Police Chief Chad Henson says a man and woman were leaving the store on Sunday night and authorities were called because the man had a gun. Henson tells Jonesboro television station KAIT that a second man who knew the couple approached them, and the armed man shot him to death.

Henson says the shooter surrendered after a standoff with officers that lasted more than an hour.

The police chief encouraged anyone with video to come forward, noting that the shooting happened at “the most populous place in Trumann,” a small town about 120 miles (195 kilometers) northeast of Little Rock.
