DETROIT (AP) - A man from suburban Detroit has been charged with murder after he allegedly shot his wife in the head during an argument.

The Detroit News reports that Brian Chris Lytle, of Madison Heights, was charged Saturday with the death of his wife, Reagan Lytle.

Authorities say the 44-year-old Lytle called 911 to report that he got into an argument with his wife and shot her.

Lytle initially refused to leave the house when officers arrived, but surrendered after about 15 minutes.

Police found 37-year-old Reagan Lytle inside the house with a gunshot wound to the head. The couple’s two children, who are 12 and 13 years old, were found unharmed inside the home.

Lytle is being held without bond. It was unclear Saturday if he had an attorney.
