SEATTLE (AP) - King County medical investigators have identified a 21-year-old man who was shot to death near Seattle Center early Sunday.

The Seattle Times reports that according to the King County Medical Examiner’s Office, local rapper Trevon McKoy died of a gunshot wound to the head, ruling it a homicide.

Better known as JuiceTheGod, McKoy began making a name for himself in the Seattle hip-hop community last year. He had performed in the area Saturday night.

Authorities say witnesses called 911 just after 2:10 a.m. Sunday to report gunshots in the Lower Queen Anne neighborhood. Officers found McKoy shot in the head and provided first aid until medics arrived and pronounced him dead.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about the shooting to contact them.
