TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say an 8-year-old Florida boy who stumbled from his burning house with multiple stab wounds remained hospitalized in serious condition.

The Tampa Bay Times reporte d that a search warrant filed in Hillsborough Circuit Court revealed that Ronnie Oneal IV emerged from his home March 18 with a collapsed lung, exposed intestines and burns over nearly 20 percent of his body.

Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said the boy remained in serious condition in intensive care.

His father was held without bail on charges of murder, attempted murder and arson.

The boy’s sister and mother died at the scene. According to court records, they both suffered significant trauma and multiple knife wounds, among other injuries.

Sheriff’s office records show the children’s mother repeatedly called 911 about domestic disturbances at their home for years.
