BALTIMORE (AP) - The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning throughout the Baltimore region, with rain showers forecast through Monday morning.

The Baltimore Sun reports the warning is in effect through 12:15 p.m. in Baltimore, Carroll, Anne Arundel, Howard and Harford counties. Up to 3 inches (7.6 centimeters) of rain had fallen in some locations by 6:20 a.m.

The weather service also issued a coastal flood advisory for areas around Baltimore’s shoreline.

Closer to Washington, regional flash flood warnings have been cancelled, but flood warnings are in effect. News outlets report that Montgomery County Fire and Rescue evacuated the Radisson Hotel in Rockville, Maryland, because of flooding early Monday. The service also reported that several vehicles were stranded in water, and at least one driver was rescued from a vehicle with non-life-threatening injuries.
