SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) - An investigation into a body found at a Spokane recycling center led police to a home near an elementary school.

The Spokesman-Review reports Waste Management staff found 79-year-old Stephanie Standen on April 5 in an area of the facility where workers process the trucks’ contents.

Standen is believed to have been transported to the center on a garbage truck.

According to a warrant filed Wednesday, Spokane police, with the help of Waste Management supervisors, traced the truck’s route to a home directly east of Roosevelt Elementary School.

Court records say the home was listed as the last known address for a woman who was reported missing sometime in the past few weeks.

Police found evidence of bloodstains inside and outside the house when they searched the residence Friday and Saturday.

There had been no arrest as of Wednesday night.
