DULUTH, Ga. (AP) - Atlanta Gas Light is working to replace aging gas lines in Duluth.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports old lines are being abandoned and phased out for new lines to provide more dependable, long-term service.

The project is expected to take several weeks and is weather dependent.

Residents should receive information posted on door hangers. AGL will repair any damage to yards and streets that are affected.

The City of Duluth is working closely with the utility company and will monitor the work to ensure any affected roads are repaired correctly.
