BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - Teachers in Burlington, Vermont, are planning to hold informational pickets to urge the school board to resume contract negotiations after both sides failed to reach an agreement and the board voted to impose terms and working conditions on teachers.

The pickets are planned Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning.

The school board voted 9-1 on Friday on the terms. It’s the second year in a row it has made the decision after stalled negotiations.

The union says members will meet Thursday to determine what to do next.
