DANVILLE, Ill. (AP) - The Danville area is set to see its first air show for the first time more than three decades.

The (Champaign) News-Gazette reports the Vermilion Regional Air Expo is set for Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 at the airport. There’ll be live air shows from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. both days and live entertainment.

Mike Potter is the manager of Vermilion Regional Airport and says it’ll be a family-friendly event.

The performers will include the Aeroshell Aerobatic Team. There will also be helicopter rides and a kids’ play area.

Danville Mayor Scott Eisenhauer says he’s excited to welcome the high-caliber show.
